I read a post on Facebook this week that said, “October is for photographers as April is for accountants.” Boy has that been true this past week! Pumpkin patch mini sessions wrapped up as well as a couple of fun family sessions. I had a great week photographing all these lovely kids at the local pumpkin patch, but after several days of editing I think my eyes can only see orange now. After a week of photographing everyone’s kids but my own I decided to take my girls out for their own mini session. There was one tiny problem with this idea….Harper wanted no part of it, other than her new dress and getting her hair curled. Lets just say nature if not her thing. There was bribing, shreking and of course tears! All the while Darby was just plodding along with no issues, until she fell in some freshly laid fertilizer. At one point my dear husband who was trying to keep me from killing my oldest daughter said to me, “maybe you should photograph her in places she likes to be.” My response, “apparently I should only photograph her in the toy aisle at Target.” Yes, it was one of those days. Photographer’s Child Sydrome at its worst. All of that said I was able to get a few photos of the girls.
